Dear Colleagues!

Dear Customers!

Dear Friends!

We hasten to share with you the good news that a fateful event has taken place in the activities of the River Register – the new Charter of the organization has come into force, which provides for a significant expansion of the scope of activities and changes the name of the organization to "Russian Classification Society".

Since 1913, the Russian Classification Society (RCS) has been providing high professional services for the classification and survey of inland and combined (river-sea) navigation ships, as well as floating objects.

In addition to the previously provided types of services, the RSC is empowered to provide services on the territory of the Russian Federation and worldwide for the classification and survey of seagoing ships, including unrestricted navigation ships, maritime transport facilities such as floating drilling rigs, fixed offshore platforms for various purposes, offshore floating oil and gas production complexes and other offshore floating and stationary facilities, for their compliance with the requirements of international conventions, codes and agreements including the Regulations annexed to the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways (ADN).Apart from the above, the RCS is empowered to survey containers for compliance with International Convention for Safe Containers 1972, to determine compliance of ships with the requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) as well as to render many other types of services that can be found on our website.

With great pleasure we will be glad to see ship owners, manufacturers of containers, materials and products, as well as organizations performing work and providing services in the field of maritime and inland water transport and other interested parties among our new customers.

Sincerely yours,
Dr. Evgeny Trunin
Director General of
Russian Classification Society
